The South Sea is a 200 capacity venue in Sheffield that is owned by the team who organised B.O.M. Festival, (South Yorkshire's premier outdoor unsigned music event). The venue specialises and prides itself in providing a quality environment for bands at all levels of development and is the rising star in the steel city music scene. It opened its doors in September of 2011 and has already started to attract touring bands from the U.S.A. and Europe (Vienna, Berlin, Los Angeles, Milan, Belfast) as well as across the length and breadth of the U.K. The venue runs regular Wednesday nights called “Extreme” where they profile some of the best Metal bands in the region and invite bands from outside the city to help build a fan base. Sheffield has a healthy Metal scene and the South Sea are confident that whoever wins the Sheffield M2TM competition will have a good chance of going forward and winning a slot at Bloodstock 2014.

Now in its third year, Bloodstock Metal 2 The Masses Reading has already become the highlight of the metal scene calendar in the region, which includes Basingstoke, Newbury, Maidenhead, Hemel Hempstead, Bracknell and everywhere in between. The Face Bar is a legendary venue in Reading and has a massive reputation for being a stepping stone to much bigger things in the career of many established bands such as Malefice and Exit Ten, local promoters have put on many great gigs with bands such as Periphery, Godsized, Beholder, Pythia, Ancient Ascendant and many more.

Under Brighton station Jackhammer Promotions and the green door store are looking to bring Brightons finest metal acts to the forefront of British metal and get them onto the Bloodstock line up.

Hosted by Bloodstock’s master of ceremonies Rob Bannister along with a wealth of prestigious judges this is a hotly contested seat !
