Band Line Up 2015

Amethyst are a 4-piece heavy metal band from Manchester, UK. Formed in 2012, the band was founded by vocalist and guitarist James Schofield. The current line-up consists of James Schofield, guitarist Simon Watts, bassist Dan Quiney and drummer Chris Topham. The band are heavily influenced by artists such as Machine Head, Sylosis, Lamb of God, Metallica and Slayer.

 

Having released their debut EP in April 2015, Amethyst are currently in the process of recording their first studio album due for release in early 2016. The band have gained local recognition by supporting artists such as Xerath, Absolva and Triaxis and competing twice in Manchester Metal 2 the Masses and winning in 2015. In July 2014, Amethyst opened up on the main stage at SOS Festival and are due to return in 2015.

We are extremely excited to be playing Bloodstock 2015! To play a major festival has been one of our goals since the early days. We feel honoured to be a part of one of the greatest heavy metal festivals in the world, playing alongside an incredible line-up of bands. We plan to make the most of this awesome opportunity and deliver the loudest, heaviest and most energetic set we possibly can! See you at the front!
