Band Line Up 2015

Playing together in various forms over the past 9 years, ANIMATOR has been building up a reputation for explosive live performances and exceptional song-writing. Formed in the South East of Ireland, they have played all over their home country, further afield in Scotland and Spain as well as sharing the stage with such bands as Sodom, Evile and Amon Amarth. 

Taking influences from many musical genres, Animator create their own brand of thrash metal that is fresh, exciting, and dynamic. Taking inspiration from the world they see around them, Animator’s lyrics reflect a critical analysis of global politics and international order. With the release of their full length debut album ‘Blacklisted’, Animator have announced themselves as a powerful new force in Irish metal. As part of their campaign to spread the word about the band, they partnered up with professional wrestling company Ring Of Honor and their worldwide audience of hundreds of thousands of fans to use music from Blacklisted to promote the band through use of their Television and Pay Per View events. Along with this unique partnership, upcoming gigs in the UK and Europe continue to raise Animator’s profile as a band with big goals and a bright future.

Getting an opportunity to play at a festival like Bloodstock is unbelievable. Everyone in the band is still in shock that we’ll be playing such a successful and respected festival like Bloodstock and we are eternally grateful.  Looking at the likes of Evile who played the unsigned stage in 2006 and the great success they went on to achieve is something we want to emulate.  With a new album in the works and a hopeful release date for the end of the year playing Bloodstock is a great opportunity to showcase our older material and gain support for the release of the new album. We’ve spent years writing songs and developing our live show and now it’s time to bring it all to the Bloodstock masses!
