to be “The Greatest Band of All Time”. Since their year 2000 arrival in California, ArnoCorps have
paved a steady, disciplined and often destructive path to ensure that all those who bear witness to
their live Action Adventure Audio Assault agree with their ballsy assertion.
With powerful metal and punk-infused anthems, including “Terminator”, “Commando”, “Predator”
and “Total Recall”, ArnoCorps have been singularly responsible for restoring integrity to the many
alpine Austrian tales that have been exploited by nefarious movie moguls for financial and
political gain.
Although known for hurling audience members record distances and bending steel microphone
stands as displays of physical strength, there is no need to fear ArnoCorps; they are a rescue
team, not assassins. ArnoCorps performances have evolved to the point where attendees are no
longer merely observers, but willing participants in a life-changing event. Many audience
members claim to leave with increased muscle mass, a better understanding of life’s mysteries
and feeling like “goddamn heroes and sheroes.”
In their chronicling of heroic tales of great deeds and fantastic adventures, these visionaries have
become symbols of empowerment through their ballsy defiance of cinematic Austroploitation. The
loyalty of ArnoCorps fans has become legendary, with their donning of combat fatigues and camo
face paint at live audio assaults, a growing number of ArnoCorps tattoos and fans frequently
flying overseas just to experience ArnoCorps live.
While based in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2000, the Austrian expats have conducted
headline tours of the UK and Ireland in 2006, 2008, 2012 and 2014. Being voted “Best San
Francisco Rock Band” by SF Weekly, ArnoCorps have also amassed critical acclaim by the British
press, including a perfect 10 out of 10 rating from the BBC. Their live action adventure audio
assault in London was recently described as “the most fun live show you could imagine” by Metal
Hammer.
ArnoCorps presented their fans with the opportunity to determine the recording budget of their
most recent release via Kickstarter, a crowdsourcing website. Earning triple their proposed
budget, the band hit the studio with Grammy Award winning Producer/Engineer Michael Rosen to
track the fantasy-adventure themed record, “The Fantastic EP”. As a companion piece, ArnoCorps
designed and built an innovative fitness app, “Wheel of Pain Push-Ups” for iOS devices.
ArnoCorps’ global underground following and ability to bring “the pump” to live audiences
prompted Jello Biafra to sign them to Alternative Tentacles Records in 2014. The label has released
a gatefold vinyl editon of their cult-classic album, “The Greatest Band Of All Time” as well a 7-inch
of “Two More!” featuring “Pumping Iron and ”Stay Hungry.”
Make no mistake, despite having inspired copycat acts of varying levels of notoriety, ArnoCorps
remain one of a kind.
We are so pumped to be bringing our action adventure audio assault to the ballsiest of all metal festivals! As far back as our first UK tour of 2006, fans have prayed each and every year for ArnoCorps to perform at Bloodstock. Finally, Crom has listened! On Thursday night, all attendees will gain unprecedented muscle mass as they become goddamn heroes and sheroes! GO!!!
