Countless Skies (previously Hatespire) came to be in the summer of 2009 in a small flat in England. Two long-time friends Ross King and James Pratt worked together to create a three track demo that blended progressive and darkly intense music influenced by their Scandinavian melodeth heroes.
Teaming up with Phil Romeo on bass and Nathan Robshaw on drums, they released a 3 track demo in 2009. Unfortunately complications caused the band to temporarily lose their momentum and take a hiatus from music.
Now, after a four year slumber the band has stirred once more to work on a four track EP, taking their previous sound and blending it with new influences whilst keeping the same dark twist.
From the haunting echoes of Ethereal to the raw and aggressive Everlast, the new offering captures a band full of creativity and potential.
With such a strong line-up, the future's looking bright for Countless Skies.
Honoured and excited doesn't even come close. We are humbled to have been chosen from such a strong line up of talented bands and overwhelmed with the support. We've all been to Bloodstock and seen some of our favourite bands there, but this will also be our vocalist Ross’ 10th year going, so to actually be on the bill is unreal. We'd like to thank everyone who has supported us so far, we’ll see you in the New Blood tent in August!
Thanks again for this opportunity to play THE best metal festival in the UK,
